Who we are
Binary Systems is a small, owner-operated technology services business based in Annapolis, Maryland. The business was started for a simple reason: most homeowners and small businesses in this area don't have a good option for hands-on technology help. Big-box stores are impersonal. Managed IT firms are oriented toward large enterprises. Independent technicians often specialize in just one thing — Apple, or networking, or PC repair — without seeing how the pieces fit together.
We started Binary Systems to be the kind of local technology partner we'd want to hire ourselves: someone who shows up, gets the work done, explains what they did, and stands behind it.
BACKGROUND
The business is led by SR Jacoby, a longtime technology professional with hands-on experience that began as a Best Buy Geek Squad agent and has continued through years of work in IT and infrastructure. Outside of Binary Systems, SR maintains a substantial home lab — running self-hosted services, custom-built workstations, and home network infrastructure — which directly informs the recommendations and services this business offers.
Binary Systems is an independent technology services business. All work is performed solely by Binary Systems and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any other firm.

Service area & availability
Binary Systems is based in Annapolis and primarily serves Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George's, and Calvert counties. We operate part-time, taking a small number of new engagements each month so we can give every project proper attention. Most appointments are scheduled in evenings and on weekends.
